Well so much for predictions. Cincinnati got to Roy Oswalt, but couldn’t hold Philadelphia’s bats in the late innings and let Bronson Arroyo down after he pitched great. This series is going to be over tomorrow night.
The Giants had Atlanta pegged, and then let it fall out of their hands in a crazy game by the bay in San Francisco. Let’s see how things shake out tomorrow in Atlanta.
This brings me to the ALDS today and tonight. Both Tampa Bay and Minnesota have must win games tonight, but maybe getting away from home will bring them some luck. That is very optimistic of me, however you never know in these 5 game series what can happen. Anybody can win two games in a row, but when you are playing New York in the Big Apple, chances are as slim as a beef jerky named Swisher. Look for New York to wrap things up tonight against the deflated Twins.
Now what about the Tampa Bay Rays? They are having a devil of a time figuring out Ron Washington’s team from Arlington, Texas. I find it the most disheartening that Tampa and its fans have seemed to throw in the towel after a valiant season against the beasts of the east. I think they expected to beat Texas, and didn’t go out there and earn it. Though its not too late to wake up and smell the air outside of a stale dome and try to bring it back home. Texas has the next series on their mind, and after tonight they could be 4 wins away from their first pennant in team history. Go Rangers!!!
Those of you who want a change of pace can also watch the Chicago Black Hawks raise the Stanley Cup banner tonight as they get ready to face the Detroit Red Wings. Enjoy your beer.
