The Tigers held off the Yankees and evened up the series which now goes to Detroit tonight for game #3. This is the pitching matchup we were waiting to watch on Friday, Justin Verlander for Detroit goes up against C.C. Sabathia for the Yankees. I believe the Tigers will win both games in Detroit and the Yankees season will be over before it goes back to New York.
The Phillies looked as they would ease on down the road, but the Cardinals won and will now go back home to see if they can win two in St. Louis. Tough thing to do, beating the Phillies, but St. Louis has a little magic going for them right now.
Tampa Bay heads home tonight to face the Rangers in a series that in knotted up at one. Look for the Rangers to put some pressure on the Tampa pitching tonight.
A day off is in need for the Diamondbacks who have gone down 0-2 in their series against Milwaukee. The series heads back to Arizona along with some warm weather. I wonder if the roof will be open for tomorrow’s game? Greinke wasn’t the greatest at all in Miller Park yesterday, but his team won the game. I can’t see how Milwaukee lets up at all in this series, unless they go partying up in Scottsdale tonight and have a little hangover going on.
Here’s to the game and here’s to the glass and here’s to Prince Fielder and his big fat ass! Happy watching to you all fans!
