Texas is on “Cruz Control” after last night’s game in Motown as they took a 3-1 lead in the best of 7 series. Nelson Cruz not only threw out Miguel Cabrera at the plate, he hit yet another homer to get his club 1 win away from their second World Series appearance in as many years. The Tigers who can’t stop the rain must win 3 in a row with Verlander taking the mound this afternoon against the Rangers’ C.J. Wilson. Detroit is expecting rain once again today but they hope its not in the form of a home run ball from Cruz. Is it impossible for Detroit to win three in a row? No, they’ve done it against teams all year, but not Texas. Let’s root root root for the home team!
St. Louis has taken a 2-1 lead in their series against Milwaukee as they rocked Busch Stadium along the Mississippi River last night. The Cardinal relief pitching was superb against the Brewers hittters, stopping any kind of late rally. Game four is tonight under the arch once again and if St. Louis pulls this one out, the Brew Crew will be crying in their suds. Kyle Lohse takes the hill for Tony Larussa’s team against Randy Wolf for Milwaukee on TBS at 7:00PM.
