In baseball there is a saying and its the same in life, history has a tendency to repeat itself. That’s what happened in in Arlington, Texas last night. The Detroit Tigers to my dismay got knocked out hard by the Rangers, who just destroyed Tiger pitching in game #6 of the ALCS. Texas was all over Scherzer and company and there was nothing that could stop their bats from driving in run after run. Detroit came out early with some dingers themselves, before the flood gates opened and cured the drought in the lone star state. The Rangers are headed back to the dance for the second year in a row, and winning back to back AL pennants. This time they will be determined to take home their date in the form of a world series ring. Whoever they play should be ready for a blast of confidence from Nelson Cruz and his band of wranglers.
Big game #6 in Miller Park this evening as Milwaukee hosts the St. Louis Cardinals. The red-birds are wild about their business this year, and Milwaukee is down to their last barrel of beer. I hope Bernie Brewer glides down his yellow slide several times tonight to give us fans a game #7. Could this be Prince Fielder’s last hurrah in the town that gave him his start?
It’s a great day if you’re from Missouri or Wisconsin. Both football and baseball teams are playing each other in the cheesehead state. Maybe the Brewers should go with Aaron Rogers as their starter on the mound after the football game is over?
