The St. Louis Cardinals are soaring, their flight has been cleared for take off and they are about to land themselves another World Series. It all starts off Wednesday under the arch from the city that gave us Chuck Berry and Budweiser.
The wild-card Cardinals have worked the hardest out of any team from Labor Day through this post season and they seem to still have a fight in them to win 4 more with home field advantage on their side.
The Texas Rangers Have landed in St. Louis and will be spending Tuesday taking batting practice early in the afternoon and then will take in a tour of the Budweieser facility later in the day. Texas manager Ron Washington will be then visiting with Chuck Berry and taking in some good times with the legendary rocker.
The Rangers knocked at the door in last year’s World Series against San Francisco and the only guy who answered it was Tim Lincecum. This year Texas has not only extra hitters, but as Nolan Ryan would say “some young stud pitching.” I like The Rangers better and hope they can win it, but I think St. Louis has some beer left in the mug.
