I just love this game. When you think that the good old days of the game are never coming back, you get a game like last night.
The pitching of Colby Lewis for Texas and Jaime Garcia for St. Louis was spectacular in game #2. The game was tight all the way through with very little hits and runs, just great defense and pitching. Elvis Andrus should start making records for RCA the way his glove was singing at shortstop. Andrus made incredible plays with the help of second basemen Ian Kinsler. St. Louis could of easily won this contest if those plays aren’t made.
St. Louis had a lead going into the ninth inning when closer Jason Motte could not hold it. The Rangers not only tied it up but went ahead and won with the help of Josh Hamilton and company. The Rangers needed this one before heading back to Dallas and they got it in style. Their flight may be longer than the actual game which was flying by like an American Airlines jet.
Now we have a day off before Saturday night’s game#3 in Arlington. Enjoy your Friday baseball fans.
