2012 MLB WILDCARD GAMES 10-5-12

After another great baseball season we find ourselves now with two wildcard playoff games on this Friday. Bud Selig has done a good job keeping this race to the World Series with adding two games that a must wins for two teams to advance to play division winners. I love it, it awards division winners and hopes to shake loose the teams that didn’t earn the right to play a series off the bat.

Today we have Atlanta playing the defending champion St. Louis Cardinals in Atlanta’s Turner Field with Medlan taking the rock for the Braves against Lohse.
I am hoping that Chipper Jones gets to advance to the NLDS and live another day in his career before retiring to the stands as a spectator. I’m picking The Braves to win and go onto Washington to face the nasty Nats!

The evening game has the Texas Rangers hosting the Baltimore Orioles with Yu Darvish pitching for Texas against Saunders for Baltimore. I think Texas is demoralized from the beat down the A’s gave them this week costing them the division title. Look for Baltimore to win and go on to New York for the ALDS.
