The captain of the Yankee ship went overboard and his shipmates are following in after him. The Yankees have found themselves in a situation where they don’t want to be, and thats down two games to nothing after losing both games in the Bronx and headed to Detroit. I don’t know what is worse, being down by two games, or heading to Detroit. The Tigers pitching has been phenomenal, dominating one hitter after the other, especially in game #2. With Verlander starting game #3 for the Tigers on Tuesday, and having to win 4 out of 5 against Detroit, this series seems to be headed for gloom and doom for the pinstripers. Without Jeter leading off and palying shortstop the Yankees may be watching the World Series yet again on television.
Now let’s get a glimpse of what’s happening in the bay area with the NLCS. The Giants are down one to nothing to the Cardinals after a poor pitching performance by Bumgarner. Could the Giants be out of gas? I hope not because its $5.00 a gallon in California. St. Louis scored six runs early with the Giants clawing back in the fourth with four of their own, but that’s where it stayed. The Giants know they can’t pull a Yankee and lose both at home headed to St. Louis. They are throwing Ryan Vogelsong up there against Chris Carpenter for the Cardinals and letting the dice roll. Their going to need to find some energy to get some wins against this St. Louis team with a horseshoe up their red behinds. By the way, should Cardinal fans Joe Buck and Tim McCarver be announcing these games? FOX should find a less bias broadcast team.
