Playoff Baseball

Did the Angels really sweep the Red Sox? Yes they did in high fashion, with some ninth inning heroics and an extra inning energy. Nobody deserves to blow it more than Papelbon. Wait I didn’t see him doing his celtic dance off the field in front of his opponents. That is bush league crap, and he can sit all winter and stew about it. Go Angels!

The Metrodome is done forever when it comes to baseball, the New York Yankees did what I thought they would do and that is end the Twins season. New York and L.A. will play the best baseball series of the playoffs starting this week in the big apple. Once again, go Angels!

Another great game last night for playoff baseball fanatics with the Rockies hosting Philadelphia in cold Coors Field. It took a ninth inning run by the Phillies to knock off Colorado in Game #3 of the NLDS. With both teams feeling cold, a warm surprise will await the winner of this series, and that’s Joe Torre’s Dodgers in Los Angeles. I have to hope for the Rockies here folks. They came back from the bottom of the division in May to bring the Denver faithful an early Christmas present. But it will be tough to unwrap this gift if they don’t win today.

Yes today’s only game is the Game Of The Day on TBS. Look for Philadelphia to book a flight to Los Angeles around 9:30 tonight. But I can’t count out Jim Tracy to pull some more magic out of his black & purple hat. He’s done it all year.
