The stars of MLB will come out tonight in Los Angeles probably along with a few stars from Hollywood. Tonight is the first game of the NLCS with the Dodgers hosting the Phillies. Joe Torre is taking a gamble with Kershaw on the mound for the Dodgers when he was 0-2 against Philadelphia this season. Phillies manager Charlie Manuel feels even more of a want to return the World Series, so much that he called for a curfew of 11:00 last night.He doesn’t want his team to feel like they should enjoy some warm nights unlike the ones in Denver this last week.
I like the Phillies tonight with a big win, even though they’re on the road to start, I believe they have more of a need. I think they feel if they can swing the bats early, that their bullpen will take care of the last 4 innings.
Though I think the Phillies will win tonight, I look for Joe Torre’s Dodgers to take the series in 6 games.
Tomorrow is game 1 of the ALCS, weather permitting.
