They’re back…… The Phillies return to the World Series and try to repeat against the Angels or the Yankees, the latter being the likely choice.
Last night in Philadelphia was like a 2nd Christmas. Manny took his time running down the line to first, and his team has
plenty of time off before reporting for spring training in Arizona. The Phillies wanted this more than L.A. They willed their way back and deserve to be there. The Dodgers just wilted like a rose, and have to re-think the Manny deal over the off season.
If there is anyway to stop a train, John Lackey is the guy to try to do it. The New York Yankees are poised to go back to the World Series tonight for the first time since 2003. They haven’t won since 2000 when they beat the Mets.
How can the Angels pull this one out without making the city of L.A. upset for the second night in a row. It’s the old plan of “one game at a time.” That’s all you can do. Hopefully Torii
Hunter can be the big hitter he’s supposed to be and the Angels can win this evening. But it could be over in a New York minute.
Today’s Game Of The Day is the N.Y. Yankees at Los Angeles Angels on FOX tonight.
